Texas Nursing Schools and Programs
Texas, proudly known as the "Lone Star" state, has amazing diversity in all aspects of food, people, languages, cultures, and geography. Encased by Mexico, the U.S., and the Gulf of Mexico, there are many adventures to experience in the largest state in the continental United States. There are heritage festivals, rodeos, bike rallies, beaches, and the great outdoors to visit. Texans are proud of their state, and are very welcoming to all. A nursing student will find home in any area, rural or urban, and find activities beyond a years worth of time to take part in.
Texas provides numerous opportunities for nursing degrees and quality education. Throughout the whole large state of Texas, there are many community colleges and university extensions available to pursue a nursing degree. There are at least six locations where offer doctoral degrees are offered and many locations with specialty nursing programs as well. With Texas continually growing, the nursing shortage has grown as well. It has become more important for registered nurses to pursue an advanced education. Nurses in hospitals, community health centers, group practices, long term care facilities, and elsewhere in the health care community, are being called upon to lead and manage departments within their organizations. In addition, they are being asked to as become educators, not only for the patients, but for the future nurses of their communities. This helps more graduates and less of a shortage. Many universities offer both online and campus based programs. Most schools allow you to complete coursework at your own pace. Texas is a great place to start of finish your nurse course work. We will help you find the right program to fit your needs.
