Description
The Talbots Women's Scholarship Fund is open to women who are seeking a degree from an accredited four-year or two-year college, university or vocational-technical school. To be considered for this award, you must be a woman who has earned a high school diploma or GED at least 10 years ago. The award requires you to submit an essay and transcript with the application. Scholarship selection is based on a number of criteria, including financial need, your academic record, scholarship essay, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in community activities, honors, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and an outside appraisal.

The sponsor has now reached their stated 1,000 application limit for the 2004 program. Applications for the 2005 academic year are expected to be available in late fall 2004.
