Infectious Disease Nursing
Infectious Disease Nursing is a Clinical Nursing Specialty program. The escalation of infectious diseases creates a need for nurses with advanced practice to help control the spread of infectious diseases. Infectious Disease Nurses provide primary care for patients with contagious disease and potentially antimicrobial-resistant infections.
EDUCATION:
There are certification programs and MSN programs for infectious disease and infection control to reduce the threat of infectious diseases and multiple-resistant organisms.
SALARY:
An Infectious Disease Nurse at entry level will start near $60,000 while a more experienced nurse will make near $80,000.
